Plurality in a country means a country that consists of people with different races, beliefs and traditions. Malaysia is a country with these aspects. These things have made Malaysia into a unique country because Malaysia is a multiracial country. The three main races in Malaysia are Malay, Chinese and Indian. All of us live coexist and live in a state of harmony even though our beliefs and traditions are different but we respect each other's uniqueness.
Many foreigners might be surprised when they visit Malaysia and see the plutalism we have here. It has even become one of the main attractions of Malaysia, which is to see different people with different races living together in peace. Our culture here has even mixed with each other and it has turned into an attraction for tourists too. There are so many types of food from different culture here in Malaysia and some of them are even from two separate races combined into one.
Some people might wonder how does it feel like to live in such country. As a Malaysian, I think it isn't any different from living in other parts of the world. Of course a lot of people would think living in a country with so many different races can teach us how to respect people more but I would have to disagree. Showing mutual respect is one of our core morals that we should have no matter what the situation is.
Besides that, some people would also say that living in a multiracial country will make us lean how to tolerate others. I agree with this opinion to some degree as it is easier for us to learn how to tolerate others when we are exposed to more differences but it is not necessarily from different cultures and races.
In conclusion, living in a country like Malaysia has not much impact on me, I don't know how accurate it is because I may be bias but I think I the only impact it has on me is I have to take more caution steps in life while living in Malaysia because I am not that privileged.
